Matt, I have friends in a band called Golden Blue who are releasing a cover of “Forever Young” this coming Friday and I’ve heard a snippet of it and it’s incredible. Even Alphaville themselves heard a snippet and praised them for it. I’ll be including it on the Zappagram playlist next week so I hope you’ll give it a listen!
I always thought this was a terrible song, which they made only more annoying by stealing the title from Bob Dylan. But then I heard Holly Miranda's version and gained a new appreciation for it as a song - even if I prefer her recording to the original. https://youtu.be/TFu968rJ4Wg?si=RPCnbdzXJCN9GH6g
What an incredible album this was, one of the few I owned on vinyl, cassette and CD over the years. It’s extremely underrated and is chock full of songs that should’ve been hits. “Forever Young” remains one of my favorite songs of all time given how inextricably linked it was to the people and places of my formative years from age 13 to 15.

Absolutely! Feel free to link to it here once it’s published too. 😁
This was a staple at the teenage dance club my friends and I went to in high school!
